Video – Ferry Disruptions Due to Immigration Protests
Protesters opposed to migration demonstrated at the port of Dover, blocking the port entrances in southern England, which disrupted ferry traffic between France and the United Kingdom. The protesters aim to stop the arrival of boats carrying migrants across the English Channel, taking advantage of the growing number of migrants from France to Britain in recent years. The issue has worsened with the rise of anti-immigration sentiment, despite the British government stating that the number of boats packed with migrants decreased this summer, reaching the lowest level since 2019, thanks to agreements with France to limit the dangerous crossings.
