The article presents a new study highlighting the Thylacine, an extinct marsupial species that disappeared around 2000 years ago. Historically, it was considered a threat to livestock based on old beliefs. However, recent research reveals that it primarily fed on small prey such as rabbits, rather than larger animals. The study showed that the Thylacine's skulls were large, but it utilized swift, sudden movements to hunt small prey. Its shape and function were more similar to animals like foxes and kangaroos than to wolves. Efforts to revive this extinct species are now among the most prominent scientific projects, aimed at bringing it back using genetic technologies.
