US Open: Zheng ousts Keys

Chinese player Zheng Qinwen defeated American Madison Keys in an exciting match in the third round of the US Open Tennis Tournament. She was trailing 5-0 in the deciding set but rallied to win, marking her third consecutive victory since undergoing surgery for a chronic elbow injury. In the next round, she will face Ega Swiatek. This match comes after Zheng experienced a downturn in her career and had to go through qualifying rounds, demonstrating her strong ability to make a powerful comeback despite her injury. Meanwhile, Keys had almost secured an easy win at the start of the match but ultimately lost after a hard-fought battle. The match ended with Zheng emerging victorious after a fierce contest. Notably, she is the first qualifier to reach the quarterfinals since Raducanu in 2021.
