US minister connects Iran deal to new government
U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright suggests that reaching a nuclear agreement with Iran may not be possible in the near future, and that Washington might have to wait for a new Iranian administration. He emphasized that military action remains necessary at present and that it may be necessary to destroy Iran's nuclear capabilities rather than reach an agreement. Wright also accused Iran of attempting to stir up trouble in the region, as tensions around the Strait of Hormuz increase, and the confrontation between the United States and Iran escalates following the failure of a ceasefire and recent military escalation, leading to disruptions in navigation and global oil prices.
