British-Iranian man held over Fairford plot
The detention of a British man of Iranian origin was carried out in connection with a mysterious incident that occurred near Fairford Air Base in southwestern England. It is believed that Iran may play a role in what happened. This comes after an investigation by anti-terror police, which arrested two other men and two additional individuals following security intelligence. No explosives were found at the site. The British Prime Minister indicated there are signs of Iranian involvement, and protests from Iran have led to the British ambassador being summoned. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to determine whether there is a connection between the incident and a foreign state, with officials affirming that they are still exploring the possibility of external involvement.
