Egypt Interior Warns Against False Claims
The article focused on the crisis involving the detention of six Egyptian journalists working on the "Metseidsh" electronic platform, which authorities accuse of affiliation with the banned Muslim Brotherhood. The Egyptian Ministry of Interior confirmed that it would take legal measures against those promoting claims criticizing security procedures and alleging protests and strikes inside prisons, noting that the situation inside correction and rehabilitation centers is normal. The Egyptian Journalists Syndicate called for revealing the whereabouts of the journalists and their immediate release, after the Interior Ministry announced their detention on charges of operating a network receiving foreign funding to spread false news related to the "Brotherhood."
