Russian drone hits Kyiv bridge amid German visit
A Russian drone strike hit a bridge in Kyiv during the German Chancellor's visit to the Kyiv city hall to show support for Ukraine. This occurred amid a rise in Russian attacks on the capital, which has been subjected to multiple strikes with missiles and drones, resulting in destruction and casualties. At the same time, U.S. Patriot missile defense systems had run out. These attacks represent an escalation by Russia against Kyiv. The strike took place in the context of ongoing military escalation ahead of crucial weeks for Ukraine, with the operation showing a clear increase in Russian hostilities toward the city.
