Al-Zaydi probes US flag violations at Sovereignty Day
A report states that the Iraqi government has formed a committee to investigate the paramilitary Hashd al-Shabi factions' violation of the American flag during a military parade in Baghdad, part of the Sovereignty Day celebrations. The Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces condemned this act, calling for legal measures to be taken. International and Arab responses have varied. It is believed that Iranian leaders within Hashd al-Shabi are responsible for the incident, which has sparked widespread American disapproval, with calls to isolate and remove these leaders from official forces.
