Houthis control Al-Uloom area in Taiz
Houthi fighters took control of Al-Uloom area in Taiz province, where the residence of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council Chairman, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, is located. The assault began this morning and resulted in fierce clashes, causing injuries on both sides. Subsequently, the Houthis entrenched themselves in the area and around Al-Alimi’s home. These developments come after al-Alimi announced the start of military operations to regain full control over Yemeni territory. This escalation has been ongoing for more than two months and reflects the Houthis' expansion into areas bordering the western coast.
