The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and the completion of the second phase of the conflict resolution plan, amid ongoing Palestinian suffering following Israel's war on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in over 74,000 deaths and the destruction of 90% of infrastructure.
