One Year After Trump's Gaza Plan
The article focused on the developments of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the Gaza war after a year since its launch. The plan centers on halting military operations, achieving a ceasefire, rebuilding the Gaza Strip, and disarming Hamas. Despite the cessation of large-scale military actions, Israeli strikes continue, with Israel controlling about two-thirds of Gaza's territory, leading to Palestinian displacement and an ongoing humanitarian crisis. The goals of disarming Hamas, establishing an international stability force, and significantly implementing reconstruction have not yet been achieved. Trump's plan faces obstacles, most notably Israel's outright rejection of disarming Hamas, the stalled formation of a Palestinian government, and ongoing tensions. Israeli politicians, especially from the right-wing camp, are contemplating scenarios such as the expulsion of Palestinians, despite international opposition. Meanwhile, Trump's plan remains under scrutiny amid persistent conflicts and challenges in the Gaza Strip.
