Egypt Public Prosecutor addresses "Matssadaash" and torture claims
Egypt's Public Prosecution issued a statement today regarding the detention of six journalists from the "Matssadaqsh" platform, confirming that all of them are in good health and show no signs of violence or torture, despite claims of mistreatment during detention. One of the detainees admitted to belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood prior to working on the platform, while the others denied any affiliation. The prosecution assured that investigations will continue. The human rights organization and Amnesty International called for the immediate release of the journalists, warning of violations against their freedom and rights.
