Saudi Arabia reports attacks on Abha and King Khalid airports
Saudi Arabia announced that Abha Airport and King Khalid Airport were targeted by the Houthis for two consecutive days, resulting in the death of two residents—one from Morocco and another from Algeria—and injuring 28 people of various nationalities with different degrees of injury, in addition to material damages. The Civil Aviation Authority reported that attacks also targeted Najran and Jazan airports, causing injuries to three individuals. Concurrently, the Houthis claimed to have carried out specialized operations deep inside Saudi territory, targeting airports and military sites in areas such as Riyadh, Abha, and Khamis Mushait, in retaliation for previous strikes by the coalition. Saudi Arabia continues to respond to Houthi attacks amid warnings of ongoing military escalation in the region.
