Maduro's wife seeks house arrest
Nicolas Maduro's wife, Cilia Flores, is facing a court case in New York, where her attorneys are requesting her release and house arrest due to heart problems. She has been detained since early January alongside her husband on charges related to conspiracy to smuggle cocaine into the United States. It is noted that both of them deny the charges and are demanding immunity as a former head of state and former first lady. They face the possibility of life imprisonment if found guilty.
