Latakia hosts inaugural State Cup Arabian race
For the first time, the city of Latakia in Syria hosted a leg of the President of the State's Cup series of purebred Arabian horse races. The event enhances the Cup's presence in the Arab world and aims to support and develop the Arabian racing industry. The race took place as part of the UAE-Syria Festival under the Latakia racecourse, featuring 16 horses from top-quality contenders who achieved notable results locally, including names such as "Sind Al-Aref," "Ward Al-Kor," and "Fahd Al-Kor." Officials emphasize that hosting this race represents an important step toward expanding the reach of purebred Arabian racing and strengthening its global standing, in line with efforts to support owners and breeders and to preserve the authentic Arab heritage of the horses.
