Pentagon plans Iran strike, Trump delays
The U.S. military plans have focused on options to resume military operations against Iran, including an intensive three-day campaign aimed at targeting Iran's missile and drone arsenals, particularly energy facilities and the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guard. These plans come at a time when negotiations over the nuclear issue are ongoing, with each side insisting on a different timeline. Military options are being discussed despite delays by President Trump in making a final decision, due to concerns that the situation could worsen before the November midterm elections. Meanwhile, Washington continues to monitor the escalation of attacks on ships in the Gulf, as Iran's tactics improve through increased support for escalation, including the use of satellite imagery. Currently, the U.S. fleet in the region includes three aircraft carriers, preparing for a possible military operation.
