Trump eases Lebanon flight bans
The Lebanese Embassy in Washington welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to revoke four previous measures that imposed restrictions on air travel between Lebanon and the United States, affirming that this annulment represents an important step toward resuming direct flights between the two countries. The decision, issued on September 30 and published in October, clarified that the restrictions are no longer necessary for ensuring flight safety, and Lebanese and American diplomatic efforts contributed to achieving this outcome. The resumption of flights aims to strengthen connections between the two peoples, bring Lebanon closer to its diaspora in the United States, and revitalize tourism and economic exchanges. The implementation will commence immediately, though a specific date for the start of flights has not yet been determined.
