Trump: Contacts with Houthis Established
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington is in contact with the Houthis in Yemen, indicating that the U.S. administration is monitoring developments in the region and that Saudi Arabia is capable of defending itself. This came after an attack on King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, which injured over 300 people and led to the evacuation of parts of the airport. Trump mentioned the possibility of the United States participating in Saudi strikes against the Houthis, amid rising tensions in the region due to the repeated attacks by the Houthis on Saudi facilities.
