Washington and allies warn Iran after Fairfield Base incident
The article discusses the recent escalation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, where Britain, the United States, and other allied countries accused Iran of attempting to carry out hostile attacks on their territories, including an incident at a British Royal Air Force base in Fairford, which is believed to have been directed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Iran denied any involvement and expressed its readiness to cooperate in the investigation, asserting that the claims are unfounded. In relation to this, Riyadh experienced widespread aerial disturbances following missile attacks by Yemen's Houthi rebels, who are allied with Iran, targeting King Khalid Airport. The attacks resulted in one death and several injuries, leading to the airport's closure for more than 24 hours. Iran also offered to mediate to de-escalate the tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, calling for dialogue and communication.
