Al-Alimi affirms no reversal on Houthis' coup end
The article focused on the affirmation by the Chairman of the Yemeni Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, regarding the continuation of Operation "Yemen Dawn" with the aim of ending the Houthi coup and restoring state institutions, while ensuring that the decision of war and peace remains solely in the hands of the state. He clarified that the operation comes after failed attempts at de-escalation, and that its priorities are safeguarding citizens, restructuring the armed forces, and securing areas from Houthi threats that encompass all of Yemen, including Taiz, Marib, and Aden, in coordination with the Coalition and allies. He also praised Saudi support and the sacrifices of Yemeni forces, condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, and emphasized that the security of Yemen and the region are interconnected. The overarching goal is to build a modern civil state that guarantees the rights of all and derives its legitimacy from the people.
