China to support US and Chinese exchanges
The spokeswoman for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that China will continue to support people-to-people exchanges with the United States, aiming to build constructive and stable relations based on respect, integrity, and mutual benefit. She referenced the story of American David Victor Blumer, who lived in Huangyuan for 17 years and helped provide medical equipment and educational supplies, considering such friendships to strengthen relations between the two peoples. The statement emphasizes that cultural and personal exchanges are key to improving China-U.S. relations.
