Military criticizes West Bank settler violence
The article discusses the escalation of attacks by Israeli settlers in the West Bank, with the number of assaults rising significantly to reach 950 incidents by October 2023. Their severity has increased since the start of the "Lion's Roar" operation in February 2023. These attacks include arson of mosques and vehicles, as well as the destruction of Palestinian lands and property. The security establishment confirms that settlers are carrying out planned operations aimed at displacement and receives political support for these actions. They describe the settlers' movements as increasing the pace of violence and terrorism, including widespread violent attacks causing injury to Palestinians and damaging their property, despite the army's promises not to tolerate these assaults.
