Heavy rains flood Istanbul streets
Heavy rainfall that fell on Istanbul on Wednesday caused widespread flooding, leading to streets and tunnels being submerged, disrupting vehicle traffic, and triggering landslides in various areas. As a result, water seeped into apartments and ground floors, with authorities receiving over a thousand emergency reports. Consequently, the Istanbul Governorate decided to suspend in-person classes on Thursday and ban the use of motorcycles, with approximately 8,000 emergency personnel and various equipment mobilized to address the damages.
