GCC Announces Gulf-European Summit Postponed
The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council announced the postponement of the Gulf-European summit scheduled in Riyadh on October 24, due to the ongoing Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and the threat to civilian security, especially following the extension of the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport. The Gulf and European sides aim to reschedule the summit for another date that reflects the strengthening of their cooperation, amid escalating military tensions in Yemen and a potential attack on Saudi facilities.
