Eizenkot: Hamas persists under Netanyahu
The leader of the Yashar Israeli Party and former Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot stated that Hamas will remain in control of the Gaza Strip as long as Benjamin Netanyahu stays in power. He also pledged to destroy the organization's military wing either using Israeli military capabilities or through Trump's plan. Eizenkot criticized the government's failure to achieve its objectives in Gaza since the October 7 massacre, calling for the formation of an investigative committee and the development of a new security strategy that includes disarming Hamas while maintaining the involvement of security forces. He emphasized that control over Gaza will continue if Netanyahu's government remains in power and that current policies are insufficient to stop Hamas's influence.
