Meaning of the slogan in Israeli elections
The slogan "Either Palestine or the Right" launched by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reflects the tendencies of the ruling right-wing coalition and affirms Israel's stance against establishing a Palestinian state, considering it a existential threat to the state. The slogan is used in election campaigns to rally the right-wing base and demonstrates the cohesion of the Israeli political establishment against the Palestinian state option, despite the fact that the political programs of both the right and the opposition converge in their opposition to the creation of a Palestinian state. This comes amid decreasing prospects for forming a leftist government, as the opposition continues to advance and political and social divisions over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict increase.
