Washington halts Iran strikes
U.S. attacks on Iran in the Strait of Hormuz have ceased in order to avoid a security escalation before the American elections, according to a U.S. source. This comes amidst statements from President Trump, who confirmed that the ongoing situation with Iran is not a war but merely a "military maneuver." American officials indicated that there is a military alert in Iran with the potential for a significant escalation within 72 hours, amidst reports of Iran-backed groups hiding paychecks for their fighters and transferring funds to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
