Pope Leo 14's Vatican Speech Post-Surgery
Pope Leo XIV, who recently underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his right lung, led his first public Mass after recovery, addressing approximately 11,000 people in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican. He left the hospital in Rome after several days of convalescence and appeared at his papal apartment window in good health, confirming that he would gradually resume his activities. The operation was a surgical removal of the tumor, and the results of tests to determine the extent of cancer spread are still pending.
