Gulf backing Saudi self-defense and Houthi attack condemnation
The Gulf Ministerial Meeting in Bahrain discussed regional developments, focusing on the repeated attacks by the Houthi militias on Saudi Arabia, including an attack on King Khalid International Airport that resulted in the death of 14 civilians and injuries to over 300 others. The ministers reaffirmed their full support for Saudi Arabia's right to defend itself, condemning the assaults that violate international law and threaten regional security. The meeting also emphasized the need for international action to protect civilians, halt the funding and arming of the rebels, and criticized Iran's escalation, which violates Gulf sovereignty and jeopardizes security in the Strait of Hormuz. The discussion also covered regional and international cooperation to promote stability and counter these threats.
