Houthis reinforce forces in Taiz
Recently, the Houthi militias have deployed large military reinforcements from Sana'a, Dhamar, and Ibb to Taiz Governorate to compensate for their human losses and strengthen their combat positions, especially on the western front, which is witnessing ongoing clashes. The reinforcements included military vehicles carrying hundreds of fighters, most of whom are marginalized individuals pulled from police stations and prisons due to the declining ability of these institutions to recruit fighters from tribes and local populations. These movements come amid continued clashes and human and military losses within the group, while there is increasing reliance on mobilization and recruitment campaigns to transfer fighters from various regions. This is happening alongside mounting pressure to maintain balance along the front lines, despite the deteriorating living and service conditions in areas under their control.
