Yemen Houthi attack injures dozens
A missile attack carried out by the Houthis on a government camp in Shabwa Governorate, Yemen, resulted in the death of more than 53 recruits and the injury of over 200 others during their training. The Houthis targeted the camp using three ballistic missiles. The group's spokesperson stated that the operation aimed at Saudi mobilizations in the eastern region, while Yemeni authorities expressed concerns about a possible escalation of ground attacks. These attacks are part of a military escalation by the Iran-backed Houthis amid regional tensions and American warnings of security threats to populations in the Middle East—especially as the conflict in Yemen and regional tensions continue to intensify.
