Qatar Supports US-Iran Talks and Cautions on Escalation
Qatar is playing an active mediating role in the crisis between Iran and the United States over the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the importance of a diplomatic solution and the avoidance of military action. Qatar has called on Iran to cease its threats targeting the security of the strait and territorial waters, warning that escalation aimed at achieving Iran's goals harms the interests of all countries in the region, including Iran itself. Diplomatic efforts continue through exchanged messages and visits in an attempt to reach an agreement that opens the strait and halts the escalation, with a firm emphasis on the urgent need for a resolution to prevent the deterioration of economic and security stability in the region.
