Gaza's Displaced Face Winter Risks
The article addresses the human situation in Gaza Strip as winter approaches, where around 950,000 displaced persons face flood risks ranging from moderate to high, with more than 400,000 displaced individuals facing severe danger. Reports indicate that approximately 294,000 families need support with shelter, and the lack of funding has led to reductions in food and cash aid, which threatens to increase hunger and suffering in the region. Displaced persons also endure harsh living conditions due to the destruction and damage of tents, with the situation deteriorating for over 2.15 million Palestinians living under difficult humanitarian conditions. The funding shortage has resulted in a decrease in daily meals provided from 250,000 to 150,000, amid Israel’s evasion of its commitments to open border crossings and facilitate aid delivery.
