During olive harvest occupation detains 90 including candidate
The Israeli occupation detained 90 individuals, including Democratic Congressional candidate Brad Lander, while they were participating in olive harvesting in the town of Nahlil, west of Bethlehem. This comes as part of an escalation in repressive measures against the Palestinians, as Palestinian lands are subjected to widespread tree uprooting operations, especially of ancient olive trees, under security and settlement pretexts. This poses a threat to the local economy and their source of income during the harvest season. There has been no comment from Israeli authorities or the American embassy regarding these detention operations.
