Doctors Decide on Pope Leo's Cancer Care
The medical team treating Pope Leo XIV confirmed that no additional treatment is needed after the removal of part of his right lung due to a cancerous tumor. The surgery was successfully performed on October 13 without complications, and he is expected to make a full recovery within approximately 10 days. The surgeon clarified that his health condition allows him to travel and move around, enabling him to proceed with his scheduled tour in Latin America from November 6 to 17, potentially recovering enough to do so ahead of schedule. The Pope has returned to public appearances, reaffirming his trust in God's mercy and supporting prayer and optimism.
