Russia and Ukraine clash after Wittkopf-Putin talks
Russia conducted airstrikes on Kyiv, resulting in at least 15 people injured, including children, and causing damage to infrastructure. This happened following a meeting between U.S. envoy Steve Wittekoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg. In response, Ukraine sent hundreds of drones toward the Moscow region overnight, most of which were intercepted and destroyed by Russian air defense forces. These attacks represent an escalation of the situation, coming after Putin indicated Russia's readiness to resume trilateral peace talks amidst ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
