Clinton Cites Quran in Defending Muslims
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton expressed his protest against the repeated disrespect and defamation of Muslims and their image on social media during his participation in a multi-faith event in Florida. He emphasized that the divine wisdom behind creating humans of different races and religions is to facilitate understanding and communication, citing the Quranic verse which affirms that diversity is a means of recognition, not for boastfulness or prejudice. He called for expanding the circle of shared values and reducing conflicts over religious differences, explaining that politicizing religion leads to long-standing disputes. He considered these statements as a message for peaceful coexistence and achieving mutual understanding among religions and cultures.
