Egyptian police officer dismissed by Interior Ministry
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the dismissal of one of its police officers after he appeared in a video inside a metro train, demonstrating conduct that violates official duties. The incident sparked accusations that the officer was collecting money from street vendors in exchange for allowing them to sell inside the trains, although the ministry did not confirm the validity of these claims or specify the exact nature of the violation. The decision came after the clip circulated widely and received extensive reactions on social media, as part of measures to address professional misconduct.
