What is the Israeli Security Belt in Lebanon
The article discusses Israel's military expansions in southern Lebanon and the front extending from Mount Hermon to the coast. It highlights variations in control, ranging from direct deployment and mobile infiltrations to control through fire and aerial surveillance. The data indicates that Israel is establishing a security belt from the southern Litani River to its northern regions, relying on specific military points, drones, and sustained fire, instead of continuous dense deployment across all areas. The strategy focuses on controlling vital high ground, enabling fire control over lower areas, thus broadening operational scope to include regions up to the Awwali River and the Et Tel Valley Heights, with the potential to expand toward areas like Kfarchouna, depending on the geography. The region has also witnessed drone strikes, targeted operations, and field assaults, maintaining a balance of control through fire and surveillance, without the need for fixed presence in every location.
