Alaa Mubarak responded to TV presenter Nashaat al-Dihi after Dihi attacked him on his program on the Ten channel over posts about receiving a certificate of appreciation from the Russian presidency after taking part in events at the Russia–Africa Summit in Moscow. Alaa accused Dihi of defamation and slander, saying Dihi had previously accused him of publishing a forged document that turned out to have come from an account impersonating him. He also criticized Dihi for not apologizing for the accusation.
