Trump Ramps Up Rallies
U.S. President Donald Trump is stepping up his campaign travel, returning to Iowa and Kansas on Sunday, two days before the midterm elections, in an effort to bolster Republicans and preserve their narrow majorities in Congress. Polls show close races or Democratic leads in Iowa, and an unexpectedly tight contest in Kansas, while Trump’s popularity among rural residents fell to 45% in October. On Tuesday, voters will cast ballots for 35 Senate seats and all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, in an election widely described as a referendum on Trump’s policies.
