Turkish authorities arrested citizen Uğur Bahadır, who is accused of belonging to the Islamic State–Khorasan Province (ISIS-K). Ankara said its intelligence service carried out a planned operation in the Afghanistan–Pakistan border region after he left Turkey in 2024 and joined the group’s camps. But the Afghan platform Al-Mirsad said he was arrested by chance at a Pakistani checkpoint in March, and that Islamabad delayed announcing his detention. No official Pakistani or Afghan comment has resolved the conflicting accounts.
