Iranian Army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia warned that any new US attack would be met with an immediate and broader response, and that the confrontation could spread beyond West Asia and last longer than previous ones. He said Tehran had updated its target list to include tangible and intangible US and Israeli assets, while Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had instructed the armed forces to respond without geographic restrictions and to step up weapons and ammunition production. The warnings come amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran following limited US strikes on Qeshm Island and mutual threats over the Strait of Hormuz, as Qatari mediation efforts continue to prevent a renewed war.
