European protests urge prisoner release
European capitals witnessed protests demanding the release of Palestinian prisoners and an end to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, despite the ongoing ceasefire agreement. Protesters in Paris, London, and Germany raised flags of Palestine and Lebanon, chanting slogans calling for freedom and solidarity with Palestine, along with criticisms of Israeli policies—particularly regarding the treatment of Palestinian prisoners and the enactment of laws criminalizing the shedding of their blood. The demonstrations also addressed the increasing international criticism of Israel concerning its operations and settlement activities in the occupied territories.
