Europe's migrant management concerns
Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, experienced two nights of widespread riots, during which masked individuals attacked the homes and properties of migrants after a video circulated showing a Sudanese person stabbing another individual in one of the streets. This led to a protest against racism attended by thousands, and the assault was condemned as collective punishment reflecting the government's failure to address the immigration issue. The incident also highlights the growing "invasion" fears of migrants across Europe, which mirror escalating tensions and discrimination despite their small percentage in the region.
