ElBaradei criticizes Trump on Iran deal
Former Egyptian Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei criticized Trump's recent attempt to portray his agreement with Iran as better than the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), noting that this move reverts the situation to pre-crisis conditions and increases the risk of nuclear proliferation. He stated that negotiations with Iran under the threat of nuclear weapons lead to mistrust and insecurity, while Trump announced that he would sign an agreement tomorrow and open the Strait of Hormuz to everyone, with hints that the deal could be signed remotely or in person at a later time.
