Sudanese Archives of 30 Million Documents Threatened
The National Archives in Khartoum is facing an increasing threat that endangers over 30 million documents documenting Sudan's history since 1505, due to damage sustained by the building during the war. Although they survived fires, the compromised environment raises concerns about the long-term safety of the documents. A plan is currently being prepared for digital transformation and building rehabilitation to preserve this national heritage.
