Barcelona opts for Al Ahly to expand its fan base in the Egyptian market

The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo revealed that a match between Al-Ahly and Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Cup would be an opportunity to strengthen the Catalan club's presence in the Egyptian and Arab markets. The Egyptian audience is estimated at around 110 million people, and Al-Ahly is considered one of the most prominent African and Arab clubs with its numerous domestic and continental titles. The match is scheduled to take place on August 19th at Camp Nou, after its redevelopment works are completed.
