The Ministry of Education in Libya has prepared a new academic calendar for the 2026/2027 school year. Teaching for students will start on September 13, 2026, after teachers begin work on September 1. The calendar includes a phased assessment system instead of final exams, with the first phase concluding on November 12 and the second beginning on November 15, continuing until January 2027, with assessments taking place throughout the school year. The ministry confirmed that the previously announced postponement is incorrect and that classes will commence on the scheduled date.
