The article focused on the efforts of the Yemeni Ministry of Agriculture, led by Minister Salim Al-Saqati, in Cairo to launch the "AgriConnect" platform, with the goal of transforming Yemen's food security and agricultural sector from a reliance on aid to a stage of development and recovery. The initiative involves unifying current agricultural financing and projects, amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, under a national strategy. It emphasizes building value chains, enhancing farmers' capabilities—especially women and youth—and utilizing modern technologies such as solar-powered refrigeration. The success of the platform depends on its sustainability through data updates, infrastructure development, and integration with energy and water projects, while also protecting agriculture from the impacts of climate change. This initiative reflects Yemen's shift towards becoming an active international partner in the agricultural field and represents a crucial step toward achieving sustainable food security despite the ongoing war and hardships.
